Neuroscience has been gaining popularity in mainstream media in the recent decade.

One of the main reasons seems to be increased stress levels (as measured by % of people experiencing emotions related to stress like anxiety sadness, anger).

In the 2021 study by APA 8/10 Americans experienced stress related emotions in the last 30 days.

Growing political polarizations, concerns related to climate change and economical volatility, have been the culprit of increased stress levels inside developing nations.

Add to it the Covid 19, and 2021 has seen huge increases in perceived stress levels (as quoted by American Psychological Association).

Additional strain on the over explored nervous systems has been put by the emergence of social media and increased screen time, negatively impacting our sleeping patterns.
